Oz-Stravaganza! Christmas Party!

The Oz-Stravaganza! Committee had their annual Christmas Party last evening! It was a huge success. Everyone brought so many great dishes and deserts to share, there was too much to try it all!

The new Oz-Stravaganza! Website went live late last night. It is still being worked on, but you all can check out the basic layout and find more information about "Light The Village Green" as well as our theme for this coming year: The Emerald City of Oz

"Light The Village Green" - Official Release!

Oz-Stravaganza! Encourages All To “Light The Village Green”

Create The Emerald City in Chittenango for Christmas 2009, by joining the 1^st annual “Light The Village Green” contest in Chittenango. The theme for Oz-Stravaganza! 2010, is: “The Emerald City of Oz”, which is based on the 6^th book in the Oz series written by Baum in 1910 and dedicated to former Chittenango resident and Baum’s niece, Cynthia Baum Tassini. The Emerald City is an important part of Oz.

The Oz-Stravaganza! Committee is encouraging all throughout Chittenango to decorate their homes and/or businesses with green lights. Judging criteria will be any Oz and/or Christmas themed decorations using green lights. A variety of prizes will be awarded in business and residence categories, including tickets to Lights on The Lake, Oz items, and award certificates.

Judging will take place on Wednesday, December 16, 2009 beginning at 7:00 pm. Please contact Barb at 430-0765 or Colleen 415-8546 for more information.

“Light The Village Green” is a prelude to lighting the Village for Oz-Stravaganza! 2010, being held June 4, 5, and 6. Save your green lights for June to turn Chittenango into “The Emerald City”.
