Oz-stravaganza! 2011 is proud to announce that Dennis Anfuso will be returning to Author's Alley at Oz-Stravaganza! 2011 June 3-5 in the birthplace of L. Frank Baum, chittenango, NY.
Dennis will be on hand to meet fans and sign copies of his books and illustrations. Dennis is widely know for his Oz works "A Promise Kept in Oz" and "The astonishing Tale of the Gump of Oz".
Dennis was on hand last year for the 1st annual Author's Alley, and we are looking forward to his return.
Author's Alley is a part of Oz-Stravaganza! that allows the public to meet the people behind the books in the Oz universe.
Welcome to the Blogosphere Marc!
ReplyDeleteLast year, Dennis drew me a picture of the Nome King (a major character in The Emerald City of Oz, which was last year's theme). He did it so fast - it was like magic!
I'm looking forward to seeing Dennis at this year's Oz-Stravaganza!
When I moved to Chittenango, I had no idea about the rich history of the village. I had no idea L. Frank Baum was born here. I actually couldn't even have named him as the author of The Wonderful Wizard of Oz. I was amazed to learn there were so many books written by Baum on Oz. I'm pleased to see the tradition is continuing.
Many folks come to our festival for the parade. Who doesn't love a parade? Some people are just Wizard of Oz fans - and they wouldn't miss it for the world. Of course there are those who bring their kids because of the amusement park rides - and cotton candy. And many people just come to shop the wares of expert crafters from all over. And there is so much more that goes on - it is hard to believe it all takes place from Friday to Sunday. But of everything - Author's Alley is, in my humble opinion - the greatest thing about our Wizard of Oz Festival! Oz-Stravaganza! did a great thing in establishing the author's alley.
I look forward to the day when we run a weekend writing shop for aspiring writers! The energy in Chittenango is ripe for creativity!
I can't wait!
